My wife will listen to the instrumental stuff, but the moment Geddy sings, its all over. 

My wife is the same way, but only with their earliest material. He started using is voice a bit differently somewhere in the early eighties, and my wife is fine with his vocals from that era and beyond. It's only the early stuff that she has a problem with.

I think everyone will agree that his voice is an acquired taste.
