audio ok, but corrupted video?

I have also had similar problems.

Has anyone tried the ExtractStream software on tivo 1.3.0?

I've got an HDR112, and I haven't plugged it in to the phone to let it
upgrade itself yet: I bought the tivo to use it as a digital VCR, not
to subscribe to the service, and I'm a bit worried about the software
upgrade stories I've heard.

When I try to run ExtractStream, I run into a set of errors starting
with "bad chunk", and then continuous complaints about bogus sequence
numbers. The resulting .m2a file plays fine, but the .m2v file is just
full of junk: it's only a couple of kb. Sometimes, gtv (smpeg based
player) identifies it as a 352x480 (?) stream, but there is no video
in the file.

I was using ExtractStream version 0.2.

Also, an unrelated question: what resolution is the mpeg stream the
tivo records? Is it 640x480? Just curious.

Thanks,
Gary.
