Yeah, that is definitely weird. I'm running 1.3.x here just fine.
Do you have DTivo or SA, one drive or two, if two then how were they
blessed?

Not that I can see. As for netcat, try using -n to disable DNS lookups,
that's what I have to do.

Can you try vsplit also on that fsid and send out to /dev/null (for
both audio and video)? Also, grab the latest version (1.50a) at
http://minnie.tuhs.org/Programs/Playitsam because there were some
segfaults on basic streams with earlier versions.
