MPEG-4

The conversaion about various formats has brought me to this.. Is it
possible to edit MPEG-4 in a nice, easy manner? W/ the release of Quicktime
6 from Apple, I'd expect that it should be possible to do some interesting
work w/ MPEG-4. What are people's experience with it? How's the quality
compare, etc?
