<DIV></DIV>>Subject: [ExtractStream] TivoApp/Extractstream issues?
<DIV></DIV>>Date: Thu, 10 Jan 2002 15:31:55 -0000
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>I recently installed tivonet on an older SVR2000 with an added 2nd
<DIV></DIV>>40gig. it has the most recent version of tivo-web installed as well
<DIV></DIV>>as the modified version of extractstream which is bundled with
<DIV></DIV>>tivoapp.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>I'd really like to use tivoapp since it lets me start the extraction
<DIV></DIV>>of a batch of stored videos before i go to work in the morning...when
<DIV></DIV>>i tried it out, choosing the extract to mpg option i noticed no
<DIV></DIV>>errors in the telnet window from extractstream and end up with a
<DIV></DIV>>2.5gig mpg file (one hour show at tivo's best quality) but the file
<DIV></DIV>>can't be viewed in any player that i've tried (including windows
<DIV></DIV>>media player, tmgenc, and virtualdub). I also didn't see anything
<DIV></DIV>>appearing in the "Mpeg conversion progress/status" window within
<DIV></DIV>>tivoapp..should anything appear there?
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>anyone else have a decent streamlined process for grabbing a bunch of
<DIV></DIV>>shows at once? should i try to get seperate tystreams and then later
<DIV></DIV>>run them through tyc?
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>are there any known issues like this with TivoApp and is sendstream
<DIV></DIV>>compatible with tivoapp?
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>thanks for any help..
