The westbound connector to eastbound US 50 /in West Sacramento/ (Yolo Co) is closed from 2200 hrs each night to 0500 hrs each morning Monday thru Friday thru 12/13/24 - Due to construction - Motorists are advised to use an alternate route
**For Eastbound Traffic: Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all 4 wheels from Kingvale (Placer Co) to 7 mi east of Truckee (Nevada Co)
Eastbound trucks are being screened at Applegate (Placer Co) - Drivers must have maximum chains in their possession in order to proceed - Permit loads are prohibited
**For Westbound Traffic: Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all 4 wheels from the Truckee (Nevada Co) to 2.5 mi east of SR 20 (Placer Co)
Westbound trucks are being screened 5 mi west of Reno /at Mogul/ (Washoe Co) - Drivers must have maximum chains in their possession in order to proceed - Permit loads are prohibited
All westbound trucks are required to stop at the brake check area 0.5 mi west of Nyack (Placer Co) - To reduce the risk of brake fires
