La  liste afscv-talk  sponsorisée par  l'Alliance Francaise  de Santa  Clara
Valley n'est pas  en fait controllée ou moderée  par l'Alliance. Pour eviter
ce malentendu et contradiction, il a ete decider de changer son nom de façon
qu'il n'y ait pas de lien direct avec l'Alliance.

Keskydee

The name "Keskydee"  actually stands for "Qu'est ce qu'il  dit?", in French,
slang for: "What is he saying?" That was the name given to the French in the
1850's during  the California Gold Rush  because most did not  speak English
and used that expression!


2) Annonce de afscv-membres

Une liste afscv-membres  reservé aux membres payant  de l'Alliance Francaise
de Santa Clara Valley. Le Bulletin y sera diffusé.

the following in English.
The above means that afscv-talk is being renamed to keskydee]

Related to  this change, afscv-events  and afscv-announce will  be destroyed
after this message is  sent as they used to be  announcement lists on things
that were happening in the Bay Area, but since Ludo, who was the list owner,
decided to leave and Email people directly,  we have found it a bit silly to
continue the list people had subscribed to.

If you were on  one of those two lists, and you want  to be on keskydee, you
will have to subscribe to it yourself.
