I think I've located the problem...didn't realize that EDITME got
patched, and had already copied and modified it in the Local
directory.&nbsp; Recompiling now....<br>

As I indicated, however, for this Linux system, I *did* patch exim, and
am having the problem I described.&nbsp; The patch appeared to work
correctly.&nbsp; I used<br>

&nbsp; patch -p1 &lt; whatever-the-patchfilename-was<br>
  <br>
and saw a bunch of messages that various hunks had been patched
successfully...none indicating errors.&nbsp; exim subsequently compiled
without errors.<br>
