-Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all 4 wheels from Bliss State Park to 2 mi north of Bliss State Park (El Dorado Co)
-Chains or snow tires are required from Sugar Pine State Park (El Dorado Co) to Tahoma (Placer Co)
-Chains or snow tires are required from 5 mi north of Truckee (Nevada Co) to 11 mi north of Truckee (Sierra Co)
