  Maybe just a clear piece of tape (I think someone here is fond of 3M???) on top of the sticker?  This way, the tape will protect the sticker from further deterioration, and you would still be able to see that the sticker is mostly in-tact.  Actually, just letting them know about the issue here may be enough for the empeg folks...
