<It'd be nice if the kernel had a couple of goes at detecting <the tuner - before and after hard-disk detection, perhaps? The kernel currently does not do the tuner detection (that may change in Hijack soon, but by default, that's how it works). The player software (userland) does the tuner detection, after the drives are up and spinning. Cheers
