Ahh. 

As far as I understood it, there are 2 complete set of 16 eq settings - one for AC mode and one for DC mode, so changes made to custom4 in AC mode wont show in custom4 in DC mode, but if you select custom9 in AC mode, then you will also start using custom9 in DC mode (albeit the DC's version of custom9).

Hijack isn't responsible for this part anyway - the player is responsible for selecting which eq to use.
