ExtractStream and large/upgraded disk

I recently upgraded my tivo with a second disk and everything
went very smooth.

I had been using ExtractStream with netcat with excellent
results, except when programs seem to be stored on the tivo
on the upgraded drive (80gb Maxtor). ExtractSteam seems to
puke on the data.

Has anyone done any work with this? I assume that ExtractStream
does not know how to handle the pointer to the larger disk. 

I can dig into the code but I did not want to re-invent the
wheel.
