Yep, convert all to 1Mbit DivX. It's not possible to do that
real-time yet, but hopefully dual-Athlon systems will be
powerfull enough.

BTW, there's a new "life" for used notebooks as DivX ;-) players-
mine "big blue" 390x (Celery 400) seems to be fast enough for
DivX ;-) playback.

Unfortunately, video streams are huge and take a very long time to 
transfer, even at cable modem rates. And, at least with my cable 
modem, upstream bandwidth is severely limited. (And I know at least 
one person who was booted from the cable modem service for running a 
server and sucking up all of the upstream bandwidth.)
