The old modules also work as long as your rc.sysinit file loads them with 
insmod -f. I got the 2.5 upgrade yesterday and after install booted back to 
the other partition with runmyworld=false, handcraft=true, mounted the 2.5 
partition, and copied all the directories over. Back up and running without 
having to yank the drive...
