Problems with ExtractStream / SplitStream

OK, I've tried several different ways to extract the video from my Tivo
and so far nothing works. I have a Philips 20 hour unit that is upgraded to
80 hours with two 40 GB hard drives using TivoMad. It is running version
2.0.1-001 of the software. When I try to run ExtractStream here is what I
get:

bash-2.02# ExtractStream 163654 163655
Attempting to locate tyStream with fsid 0x27f46...
...tyStream located, sector map follows:

... etc ...

If I use this by itself, I can usually extract the streams somewhat, and the
audio will play OK in WinAmp. I can't use TMPEG on it because the program
either crashes or gives errors that there are blocks missing.

If I use the SplitStream with this, I get this on the PC:

C:\>nc -l -p 1235 | splitstream - C:\Movies\test.mp2 C:\Movies\test.m2v
+
Audio sequence number bogus 2d2300!=2e04fc at chunk 3 record 0

Chunk 6 has bad sequence, ignoring chunk

Chunk 9 has bad sequence, ignoring chunk
Video Sequence number bogus 213778!=2988fc at chunk 10 record 0
Chunk 10 has bad sequence, ignoring chunk

... etc ...

If I look at the output files from that, I have about 300 KB of video and 30
KB of audio for a 30 minute show. This time, when I open the audio in
WinAmp I only get 1 second worth. I downloaded the newest copy of
ExtractStream from the CVS server, but that doesn't seem to help. I'm not
sure if I am doing something wrong, but I would really like to save my shows
to disk instead of capture them with my video card. Can anyone help me out?
Suggestions are always welcome. Thanks!
