Why are you going to an AVI file, you would be far better to frame serve 
from Virtual Dub to tmpgenc.

Plus what version of TMPGenc are you using, I found I had the same problems 
with some of the earlier version of TMPGenc.

I get a problem here:
I pull in the dummy AVI file from VFAPI into VirtualDub. I pull in
the WAV file from WinAmp. I then clip out the commercials and save
out a huge AVI file. But when I pull this into TMPGEnc for crunching
into MPEG1, the video length is reported as about twice as long as it
really is. It shows up as 48 min when it really is more like 23 or
24 minutes. The first half appears to be fine, the second half is
the audio but no video. Any ideas on why this happens?
