[ExtractStream] How to get the FSID Numbers

you can just do it by hand if you have no luck finding
an automated way to do it:

first fire up tivoweb, go to now showing in the ui,
and look at the url when you roll over the program you
want. Grab the 6 digit number (it will also be
followed by a / and a 2 digit number, but all you want
is the 6) and then in a telnet session to your tivo,
make sure you are running the tivo shell (tivosh, not
bash), and pass that 6 digit number to the 'dumpobj'
command..In the output, look at the line that says
Part = ... it will be a series (1 or more) of the 6
digit number followed by / and then 2 digit numbers.
Pass all of those (just as it appears on the line,
separated by spaces) to dumpobj again, and you will
get the file id's...then just pass those file id's to
ExtractStream and voila, there you go ...

here's a sample i did for a west wing episode i had
recorded:
% dumpobj 947510

the relevant line was then:
Part = 947510/12 947510/14 947510/15

so:
% dumpobj 947510/12 947510/14 947510/15

with the relative lines being:
File = 967526
File = 967528
File = 967529

now, just pass those to ExtractStream (setting up NFS
& environment variables beforehand, of course):

[root@(none)]:/var/hack# ExtractStream 967526 967528
967529

voila...

feel free to email or IM me if you run into
problems...

ps:Gary, great job on tivoapp..thanks for adding the
http port option there ... perhaps an option to save
it locally on the tivo might be nice, too? in the case
that someone would want to use NFS to store on their
pc ... I've run into problems with netcat just not
working for some vids, freezing after a few percents,
but manually it worked fine, while it worked fine on
other vids...just a suggestion...
