You're NOT telling us that you are saving DATA to /etc/exim/new/, are you???

I hope that you don't store data in THAT place because that's a no-no. Such data 
belongs somewhere under the /var hierarchy.

Apart from that your post was somehow "broken." :-)

PS. Are you the guy who wrote the sa-exim scan_local dldopen patch? Great work.
