First, are you using simple mux or just mux -- make sure that
TMPGenc is actually accepting the audio source you select -- it
should show up in the box or list. It apparently only accepts cetain
types of files. You might want to try renaming the audio to .mpa ---
regardless, many peoples' resulting mpegs are not synced with audio
to video -- that is my problem right now with it all.
ANyone else out there -- I'd like to get some sort of list going
of Mpeg2 codec that people use that result in good-looking video -- I
finally got good results after I d/led the elecard codec -- I had
WinDVD on my machine already but for some reason it plays tivo mpgs
horribly. I'd like to know what other people are having results with
and possibly see if we can isolate problems that are codec specific
or separate computer cofig specific. SO post your codecs and where
you got them.
Finally, is anyone getting good results after actually PROCESSING
iwith TMPGenc? i.e. not using mux or simple mux? Mine looks like
complete crap. this is prob a codec problem again, but I am unsure
how to add codecs to tmpgenc or even if it is possible.
One more thing -- what res is a medium recorded file -- When I
play mine, something weird happens. WMP opens the file to be 480x480.
My file, however only appears to be about 300 pixels wide. So the
actual image is squished left to right so that it fits in only about
the leftmost 300 pixels and on the right side of my screen, the
rightmost 180 pixels or so is a copy of the LEFTMOST 180 pixels. As
the screen changes, half the time the right side extra part changes
with the whole scene, but occasionally, it gets stuck and just
freezes on one scene -- I will try and get an image up on a web apage
if no one knows what I am talking about and is interested. Anyone
have any ideas?
