I'm not 100% sure how it works, but I've tried deleting files like
the .d2v & the .avi when I thought they were no longer needed, and
I've found that the process fails to work right after that. All I can
think of is that the vfapi_conf.avi files act like a "pipe" in linux
- they're just a "conduit" to reformat the info on the fly to the way
that TMPGenc & NanDub expect. That would explain their small size.

I'm not sure if the .avi conversion is still necessary for the
updated instructions - I'll check it out and see; however, I can tell
you something: if you have a long program (3 hours) TMPGenc's frame
"browser" is *dog slow* and quite unusable, so I'll have to use
Nandub just like before to find the frame numbers & xfer them
manually like before.

Probably what I'll do is modify the page to have 2 seperate
"sub-branches" of instructions showing both ways so that people with
short (1/2 or 1 hour shows) can use the short version, but if you're
doing a 2-3 hour show (like a 2-parter) the nandub instructions will
still be there for reference.

HTH,
