I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I have 3.0, and I used a comma, not a .
I managed to use the backdoor to look at the logs, and have found the following
in /var/log/kernel:
kernel: route forgot to specify route netmask
kernel: eth0: Shutting down ethercard
Now I'm running a debian box on my network with DHCPD, and it seems to be
seeing th TIVO. dhcp.conf is: (with the gateway IP turned to x.x.x.x)
option domain-name "chromatic.org";
option domain-name-servers 192.168.0.1;
option subnet-mask 255.255.255.0;
default-lease-time 600;
max-lease-time 7200;
subnet 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
range 192.168.0.100 192.168.0.150;
option broadcast-address 192.168.0.255;
option routers 192.168.0.1;
option subnet-mask 255.255.255.0;
}
subnet x.x.x.x netmask 255.255.255.255
{
}
